Grade 12. MBChB qualification. MMed (Ophthalmology) or FC (Ophth)SA. Valid registration with HPCSA as an independent medical practitioner and Ophthalmology Medical Specialist. Medical Specialist Grade 1: No experience required. Medical Specialist Grade 2: 5-years of appropriate experience as a Medical Specialist after registration with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist.

Medical Specialist Grade 3: 10-years of appropriate experience as a Medical Specialist after registration with HPCSA as Medical Specialist.
