Department Of Public Enterprises West Bengal, the Ministry of Public Enterprises of West Bengal is a Bengal government ministry. It is a ministry that mainly exercises administrative control over a large number of undertakings in the State sector so that a coordinated policy for their betterment could be implemented. At present 24 Enterprises are under the administrative control of this department.
The Ministry of Commerce & Industries is mainly responsible for the functions relating to the promotion and regulation of large-scale industries and trade and commerce in West Bengal. The Department coordinates the promotion and development of large-scale industries.The functions of the ministry can be classified into the following two groups: –
- Promotion and development of large scale industries;
- Commercial functions.
