Department Of Environmental Affairs Ermelo, Ermelo is the educational, industrial, and commercial centre of the 7,750 km² Gert Sibande District Municipality in Mpumalanga province, Republic of South Africa. It is both a mixed agriculture and mining region. It is found 210 km east of Johannesburg.

The Department of Economic Development and Tourism was formed after the split of the then Department of Finance and Economic Affairs in 2005.
We are the premier Department tasked with the responsibility to drive all economic development and planning initiatives in the province.
