The duties of the Department Of Economic Development Director General includes but the limited to the Oversight of administrative support to the DG (including management of ODG and relevant corporate management functions). Oversight of co-ordination and liaison between the Ministry, ODG and department. Support on the content, advisory services and ad hoc tasks. Oversight of parliamentary and Cabinet matters. Planning and reporting.



The mission of the Department of Economic Development (EDD) is to: coordinate the contributions of government departments, state entities and civil society to effect economic development; improve alignment between economic policies, plans of the state, its agencies, government’s political and economic objectives and mandate; and promote government’s goal of advancing economic development via the creation of decent work opportunities.
