Colorado Department Of Corrections Women’s Facility, Denver Women’s Correctional Facility is located in Denver Colorado and is part of the Denver Complex of facilities. This institution can house about 975 female inmates. Offenders who are incarcerated here and are going to be released soon may participate in the reentry and integration program, which helps inmates transition back to society.
Like most of its male counterpart facilities, Denver Women’s Correctional facility offers basic education courses, substance abuse treatment, and parenting courses. Some vocational skills that are taught at this facility include culinary arts, wood working, basic and advanced computer skills, and more. Inmates should participate in these activities because it provides them with more knowledge and advanced skills that may enable them to get employment once released.
Visiting Hours at Denver Women’s Correctional Facility:
You must submit an application for visiting, and it must be approved before visiting. Visiting is on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30am-3pm. You must arrive before 10am for the morning visit, and 1:15pm for the afternoon visit, or you will not be allowed to enter into visitation. No visitors are processed between 10am-11:30am. Inmates can have visitors on two days per week, but one of the days is required to be a Friday. If your inmate is only allowed non-contact visits you must schedule an appointment by calling (303)-307-2544.
