Overview
The mission of the Mpumalanga Department of Human Settlements is to facilitate the creation of integrated sustainable human settlements.
The Department’s strategic goals are the upgrading of accommodation within the informal settlements; improvement of access to basic services; provision of affordable accommodation within the gap market; mobilization of well-located public land for low income and affordable housing; provision of housing for the establishment of integrated sustainable human settlements; and contribution towards vibrant, equitable and sustainable rural communities.
