Director-General’s Office
Purpose:
The support the Director-General in the execution of his functions and ensure that resources allocated to the Director-General: support are managed in an effective and efficient manner.
Functions:
- Oversee the operations of the Director-General Support namely document management, administration, and policy support
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on issues pertaining to policy, strategy, high-level coordination of systems/ processes and other content issues involved with the Office of the Director-General
Advise the Director-General on a wide range of issues - Undertake research and compiling reports for the Director-General
- Coordinate the implementation of high-level decisions within the Department
- Participate in the development of the strategy, policies and plans for the Department
- Manage various strategic events, projects and programmes identified to meet short, medium and long term objectives of the Director-General’s Support/ Director-General
- Ensure the alignment of the organisational and individual performance of the Managers reporting to the Director-General
- Liaise with internal business units to ensure that service delivery is effectively managed
Represent the Director-General/ Director-General Support at management and other governmental forums
