Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum UAE Vice President, Prime Minister Ruler of Dubai issued decree no. 25 giving the DED the responsibility to plan and regulate the overall economic performance of Dubai, supervise its functions and support the economic development to ensure the objectives of the Dubai Strategic Plan are achieved.   3.   Business Registration & Licensing SectorBusiness Registration & Licensing Sector  The Business Registration and Licensing ( BRL ) sector in DED is in-charge of procedures related to all types of licenses for practicing ( trading – professional – industrial activities ).  ( BRL ) Sector provides a range of services including the issuance, renewal, amendment and cancellation of all types of trade licenses, as well as related transactions.  ( BRL) Sector contributes to encouraging investment and enhancing business by applying the UAE Commercial Companies Law and in view of the Dubai Strategic Plan and DED objectives.

  6.   DED BranchesDED Branches Through its four branches, the Department of Economic Development (DED) offers customers all BRL services. The existing branches are established in multiple locations in the emirate of Dubai to ensure easy access and utmost comfort for customers. Service CentersService Centers In view of DED commitment to activate the role of private sector, a range of agreement have been signed with authorized service centers to provide BRL services in multiple locations in the emirate. Agreements include provisions that ensure offering the highest quality services to customers.
  7.  Strategic PartnersStrategic Partners BRL cooperates with various government, semi-government authorities and private sector as strategic partners to provide its services to investors by signing with them memorandum of understanding and cooperation. Such cooperative efforts are exerted in alignment with the Government of Dubai plans to achieve the highest level of quality service and developing economic agenda in the emirate of Dubai.
